Confirmation is for students in grades 7 and 8. It is held at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Pastor Tim and the confirmants go through Luther’s Small Catechism to help students understand the Ten Commandments, Lord’s Prayer, Apostle’s Creed, Baptism and the Lord’s Table or Communion. Students at this age have a lot of questions about God and everyday life. Spiritual instruction at this time in their lives can be of real help with all the issues and situations that confront young people today. The Word of God, the Bible, is what is important in this class. The Word of God has a lot to say about: “Why am I here on this planet? What is my purpose in life? Who am I?”. The answers to these questions are very significant. The Bible answers these questions and the students will see the importance of applying God’s Word in their lives. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast” Ephesians 2:8-9.
